Are you looking for the best online jobs for students sites online? Then this Topic is for you.
My name is Boopathi, and I’ve tested hundreds of different ways to make some extra money online. Many readers have asked me for an updated list of the best micro-tasking platforms. So therefore, I decided to post this article where I will show you six realistic ways to do microtasks and earn some extra money.

Before I explain the six options, let’s first talk about microtasks. I want to help you understand what they are and what to expect if you are new to them.
Microtasks can be described in many ways. I define them as small tasks, like a social media job or a simple data entry job.
So what is not in this topic here is not focused on, for example, paid surveys and paid offers. In my definition, that is not actually what I define as these microtasks platforms there. I have a lot of information about paid offers and paid surveys. If you’re interested, you can check out my other topics here.
I will share a link below. It has a list of the best survey and get-paid-to websites in different countries. You can check it out if you are interested. ( Best Online Jobs for Students )
But here, we’ll focus on these platforms that, for example, offer small social media tasks, small data entry tasks, or so. The advantage of this is that it’s something you can do no matter where you live. There will be options no matter where you live, and you can always find tasks on some of these platforms.
Just be aware that, in general, microtasks do not always pay very well. You have to be critical.
Some of them pay decently, like 0.20 USD, which can earn you 1.5 USD. Some of them pay very low salaries.
Some of them are just average. So be critical. Also, be aware that on some microtask platforms there, the tasks are created by other users.
So sometimes, you know, they might ask you to do some unethical things. Be very careful about the tasks you take on.
Think about what is asked, the risks involved, and how much you will be paid. I’m not saying that these specific platforms, you know, allow that anything. I’m just saying, in general, when we talk about microtasks, why do you have to be a little bit critical?
Doing this can help you make some extra money, but don’t think it will make you rich or be a full-time job. And I will now show you six platforms where you can do this. They have different types of tasks. No matter your preferences and where you’re from, you can find something that might be interesting for you.
You have the freedom to choose how many platforms you want to use. Whether it’s just one or all of them, the decision is entirely yours. This flexibility puts you in control of your earning potential.
Let’s now delve into the list. It’s important to note that this is not a prioritized list. The ‘best’ platform really depends on your personal preferences and the type of tasks you enjoy doing. Your preferences are respected and considered in this list.
Timebucks – Best Online Jobs for Students
So, the first platform I want to show you is Timebucks. If you want to do small tasks on social media, this is my favorite site because it pays better than many others. And it has a low payout threshold.

You can join from any country. You only need to earn $5 to withdraw your money. It also has many other ways to earn, so you can increase your earnings.
But if you want to do the small task, you just go to the earn section, and then you go to tasks. You might have to type a number, sign up for something, join a Telegram channel, or visit a website.
You can see how much you earn for each task, and you usually receive good pay compared to other sites. All these different things like the small tasks. You can easily see the instructions.
You can see your pay there, and it offers many similar tasks with decent pay compared to other platforms. ( Best Online Jobs for Students )
Sproutgigs – Best Online Jobs for Students
The next platform I want to talk about is called Sproutgigs because this is a very popular microtask platform. This is what it specializes in, and you can see right now that it has almost 600 jobs. And many of them you can do from all countries.

Be critical of this platform; not all pay well, and some may ask you to do things I recommend avoiding. For example, Gmail creates an account, you know, a verified account. For example, do not create a verified Gmail account for someone else. You have no idea what they will use that for, and you would get like 8 cents for, you know, that’s something like that.
For me, you know, I would just stay completely away from that, but there are plenty of other small tasks you can do easily. But really be critical here. And to be completely honest, it’s definitely not my favourite platform.
But I mention it because it has so many different tasks from basically all countries there.
But what I particularly don’t like about it is that it has a very high fee when you withdraw. They charge up to 20% fee. If you can accept that, then you definitely can find many tasks here. So whether it’s for you or not that, you know, that really depends on your personal preferences.
Hive Micro – Best Online Jobs for Students
Next, we have Hive Micro. This can be used both on the website and through a phone using the app there. You can see both Android devices and iOS devices.
These are what I would call AI training tasks and data entry tasks. For example, you need to draw a box around an object. You also need to categorize the scene.

You might transcribe audio to text. You can track the same object across different frames. These are all different tasks you might do. This is a platform you can join from basically all countries.
Also, as you can see, you will get paid weekly via PayPal or Bitcoin. So I do like to have that flexibility there.
The next option here is a little bit different. It’s called Fancy Hands.
It’s actually only for us. All the other platforms in this Topic come from different countries. This one is a type of virtual assistance.
You can go and see the jobs there, and then you can read more about what it actually offers. It offers quite high pay, up to $7 per task there, and then they can even go up from there. You will do tasks such as:
– Making phone calls
– Setting up appointments
– Finding good prices
– Looking for hotels
– Entering data
– Other similar jobs
It’s a small type of task but more kind of a virtual assistant without necessarily having to commit to a huge amount of time. But as you can see, if you live in the US, it pays quite well. ( Best Online Jobs for Students )

There, you will find options for data collection, translation, correction, judging, post-editing, and annotation. Many of them are available worldwide. You can always like it if you sign up, and you can learn more about it before you actually apply.
You need to be approved first. For example, look at this one. It is in a very specific location. You could earn up to $9 per Topic there.
The others will depend on the task. It may not have as many tasks as other platforms. However, it is worth checking out. Some jobs here are interesting and pay well. ( Best Online Jobs for Students )
Clickworker – Best Online Jobs for Students
The last platform I want to talk about is called Clickworker. Here, you can find all types of small tasks and microtasks, and you can join from basically all countries there. Also has flexible payout options.

You can see they have an example of where you have to take pictures somewhere; then you have to show up physically there. But it can also be like small data entry tasks from home. In general, it has a decent number of tasks.
I haven’t had good experiences with their support. However, I know some people enjoy the variety of tasks here.
So you know, whether it’s for you or not, that really depends on your personal preferences. But it could also be one of the platforms worth checking out if you’re interested in small microtasks.
So, as you can see, there are quite a few different types of microtasks you can do completely for free.
Conclusion – Best Online Jobs for Students
You just need to do it with the right expectations, and you need to be critical and make sure you choose the right type of platform for you. But this gave you a good idea of the available options.
I do have more information about all these platforms. I have a complete list on my website. There, you can find an overview and all your joining links for these platforms. You will also find more platforms on that list.
